The Housing Support Coordinator assists each family to identify goals and objectives to move toward housing stability. Staff is located on-site and meets with the families at least weekly. Each goal is set for the first 30 days. If successful, the family’s stay is extended for another 30 days. This can happen two times for a maximum of 90 days of shelter. The program goals for families focus on increasing income, increasing employment, decreasing past eviction/utility debt, increasing savings and securing housing. Families may also set their own individual goals outside of these program specific goals.
In 2014, 49 adults and 79 children stayed at Alpha House and participated in Rapid Re-Housing.
